Linda Pétursdóttir was the second woman from Iceland to win the coveted Miss World title in 1988. Even after finishing her reign, Linda re-joined the Miss World Organisation. She has been a member of the international Jury for Miss World and Mr. World since 1995. She is also an Animal Welfare Activist and a Graphic Designer by profession. In the year 2003, Linda went on to publish her autobiography named Linda - ljós & skuggar.
