Maria Mika Maxine Medina promises to enhance her public speaking skills

Maria Mika Maxine Medina, who was crowned as Binibining Pilipinas 2016 at the end of the scintillating gala event held on April 17’ 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines, revealed to the Media that her public speaking is really her weakness.

After three weeks of being crowned as Miss Universe-Philippines, Maxine Medina told host Boy Abunda in an interview that she has been cautious not to read anything online that might only hurt her.

The newly crowned Filipino had her fair share of online bashing because of how she performed during the question and answer portion of the Philippines coveted beauty pageant.

At the Question and Answer segment, Medina was asked what she can advise a 15-year-old girl who wants to stop studying.

Her answer was: “I would tell the girl to study hard, no matter what their parents would tell them,” Maxine answered, as she started to stutter at one point: “Because having an education is something that… something that… cannot have that anybody else [sic]…” “Education can make you an even better person. Thank you.”

After replying, the Pinay queen also admitted that she felt bad about her answer.

"I know that I have to explain 'after, but since everything randomly goes black. I just did." she explained.

Nonetheless, the Quezon City beauty, promises to work hard on her communication skills so she could do better in this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

She further added - "Rest assured that I will do my best to improve more and to be the pride of my country. Hopefully a back-to-back win with the reigning Miss Universe @piawurtzbach with the help of the Lord,"

"I’m proud that I was able to reach at this point because I wanted to do something not only for myself but for my country as well. It was not in my wildest dream that I would be able to become a beauty queen knowing that it's only my first time to join a prestigious pageant such as Binibining Pilipinas," she added.

The 25-years-old beauty hails from Quezon City, Philippines and is currently working as an Interior designer who graduated from the Philippines School of Interior Design with know-how in designing residential condominiums.
