The fifth edition of the Miss Earth Sri Lanka will reach its finishing line with the conclusion of finals to be held on June 3’ 2015. The winner of Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2015 (also known as Derana Goya Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2015) will go on to represent Sri Lanka at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. The finale will not only witness the crowning of a new queen but will also be graced by the presence of beautiful Miss Earth 2014 Jamie Herrell.
Jamie will reportedly fly to Sri Lanka on June 2’ 2015 and will be attending the finals of Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2015 to crown the winner. The reigning Miss Earth Sri Lanka, Imaya Mahaliyanage will also be present at the event as she will pass on her crown and her reign to her successor. There are a total of twelve finalits competing for the crown this year.
The previous winners of Miss Earth Sri Lanka pageant are - Poojani Wakirigala (2011), Chaturika Ariyawansha (2012), Solange Kristina Gunawijeya (2013) and Imaya Mahaliyanage (2014). None of the delegates of Sri Lanka has managed to score a place at the Miss Earth pageant so far. However, Imaya Mahaliyanage (Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2014) managed to win few special awards at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant - Talent Competition, Yahoo! Beauty for a Cause and Eco-Beauty Video.
Watching the finale of Miss Earth Sri Lanka 2015 will be a delight to the viewers’ eyes as there will be beauties adorning on stage as well as gracing off stage.
