The 11th edition of Miss Grand International 2023 was on 25th October 2023 at the Phú Thi Indoor Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. At the end of the event finale, Luciana Fuster of Peru was crowned as the new Miss Grand International 2023 winner who succeeds Miss Grand International 2022 Isabella Menin of Brazil. Luciana Fuster became the second Peruvian to win the Miss Grand International title. From her stage presence to how she answered the nerve-wracking question-and-answer portion, Luciana proved her worth at the competition.
The newly crowned Miss Grand International firmly believes that ‘you deserve what you dream’. Since she was a little girl, Luciana has been going after her dreams through her effort, dedication, and perseverance. She grew up in a very understanding and empathetic home and that is why, she holds a strong conviction of solidarity, respect, and love.
Miss Grand International pageant is not Luciana’s first foray into television; she first rose to prominence after competing in several reality shows in her country, such as Combate and Esto es Guerra. Following the theme of ‘Stop the War and Violence’, Luciana spoke about the pressing conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist group Hamas which shows her confidence with a heart.
During the pageant's Q&A portion, Fuster was asked which leader she would speak to about the Israel-Hamas war and what would she say to them to improve the situation. "I would talk to Israel's president and ask him to take care of all his nation because no one deserves to live in hurt. There are lots dying day by day, and all the news [is] horrible, so if we don't change our minds, if we don't change our comportment, we can never be a good society. We can never be a great society."
"I am here to raise my voice for the communities in both sides, hoping that their governments can find common ground on peaceful conversations. War only destroys homes and takes innocent lives. Violence is never the solution to a war that is in need of more compassion, love and empathy," she added.
Fuster has been a TV personality since 2015 and has also started working as an influencer during that time. Additionally, she is a radio host and a model and truly adores her profession and considers herself passionate about her work. With her international title, Fuster will now fulfill her reigning responsibilities through the year with the humanitarian work and travelling across the globe. With her stunning beauty, her fierce grit, and a strong mindset, Luciana will be a strong representative of the Miss Grand International organization through the year.
