Andrea Rubio, winning Miss International 2023, has become the first winner from Venezuela to wear the ‘Long Beach Pearl’ crown making Venezuela as the only country to have worn four different Miss International crowns. This is the reason Venezuela is truly considered as the powerhouse of the pageant world.

On winning the crown, Andrea took to her official social media as she wrote, “Together everyone achieves more. A team achievement will always be enjoyed better. And no, I still don't believe it, but I always believed in the power of our actions to achieve each goal. Today and always proud to be Venezuela! Thank you to everyone who did their bit to achieve this great dream.”

Venezuela pioneered its win at Miss International in 1985 when Nina Sicilia was crowned as the Miss International queen. The second and third crown came in 1997 and 2000 with Consuelo Adler and Vivian Urdaneta’s win. The 2000s was a good decade for Venezuela with a win in 2003, 2006 and 2010. Edymar Martínez obtained the next crown for Venezuela in 2015 while Mariem Velazco won the crown in 2018 after which Rubio clinched the ninth crown.
