Panama Grand Slam organization held the national finals on 9th December 2023 at Hotel Waymore where Karol Rodríguez was crowned Miss Mundo Panama 2024 (Miss World Panama 2024) as she became the official representative of Panama at 72nd Miss World.

Karol Rodríguez is 21 years of age and a student of International Relations. Karol works professionally as a model. Being Miss World Panama and an advocate for change, Karol would like to work at the UN and break with the sexist and professional stereotypes about women.

On winning the national crown, Karol took to her official social media as she expressed her emotions in a post captioned, “As a young woman who loves her country, having the opportunity to represent Panama through a beauty contest represents an opportunity that I am sure will make me connect and allow me to represent that deep love I feel for my land???? The way to get here was not easy, not impossible, and so many people who showed their support made me gain the confidence and courage to achieve it, this crown is also yours.”

An athlete, Karol started practicing swimming and basketball since she was seven years of age, having represented Panama internationally in handball tournaments. For her social service, Karol is an active volunteer at the United Foundation for Children, a nonprofit that works for the prevention and rehabilitation of child sexual abuse cases.

Karol Rodríguez succeeds Miss World Panama 2023 Kathleen Pérez who represented Panama at 71st Miss World but remained unplaced. The 72nd Miss World will be held later this year or next year where Krystyna Pyszkova of Czech Republic will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
