Miss Universe Puerto Rico organization revealed the national costume that Ashley Ann Cariño will be presenting at the 71st Miss Universe competition next month. Ashley Ann Cariño has currently been preparing for her international stint, learning to improve her catwalk and communication skills.
The national costume she will be presenting is an homage to the Arecibo Radiotelescope. The costume also represents Puerto Rico’s Miss Universe winners from the past which includes Marisol Malaret, Deborah Carthy Deu, Dayanara Torres, Denise Quiñones, Zuleyka Rivera, Roberto Clemente, Tito Trinidad, Mónika Puig.
The national costume was designed and built by Puerto Rican artists and also mechanical engineers. has 42 biodegradable plastic pieces designed and printed in 3D format. The elements specifically form and represent the main reflector and the Gregorian dome of the Arecibo Radio Telescope.
Miss Universe 2022, the 71st Miss Universe pageant, will be held at the New Orleans Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA on 14th January 2023. Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Sandhu of India will crown her successor at the end of the event finale.
