18 years old Sasha Wintz was crowned Miss World BVI 2015 at the finals held on October 3’ 2015 at the HLSCC’s Eileene Parsons Auditorium. She will now represent BVI at the Miss World 2015 pageant. Sasha is born to Guyanese parents and was crowned by the outgoing queen Rosanna Chichester.
Wintz is known for her spectacular performance at BET Music Matters for the year 2014. Her ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ project will be focused on people with special needs. “It feels so amazing. It’s a great pleasure and honor to be an ambassador of the BVI and also to be a proud representative… I had faith in myself that I would win, or place, but you always trust God and believe in yourself that you can do anything,” she told the reporters after being crowned.
British Virgin Islands is an overseas British Terrority in the Caribbean, east of Puerto Rico. The territory made its debut at the Miss World pageant in the year 1986. Till date, no beauty queen from the territory has ever landed at the semis of Miss World.
