Miss World Philippines is an annual national beauty pageant held in the Philippines every year that selects the country’s representatives for the Miss World pageant.

Prior to the Miss World Philippines, the title was awarded by the Miss Republic of the Philippines pageant that continued from 1966 to 1976, then it was taken over by the Mutya ng Pilipinas (Pearl of the Philippines or Muse of the Philippines) Organization through Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant that goes on from 1977 to 1991.

The pageant is inspired by the Miss World Ltd.’s slogan “Beauty with a Purpose” and henceforth adopted the theme “Beauty in Giving.”

The reigning titleholders decided to dedicate their court year to work with charities that benefit needy children and also join movements of supporting women and children’s rights and many more social causes.

Apart from the title, a series of special awards are also given to the deserving candidates under the following categories –

2016

Miss World Philippines 2016 is Catriona Gray. Catriona will now represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2016 pageant to be held in Washington DC on 18th December 2016.

2015

Miss World Philippines 2015 was  Hillarie Danielle Parungao. She represent the Philippines at the Miss World 2015 pageant.

2014

Miss World Philippines 2014 was Valerie Weigmann of Legazpi City. She represented the Philippines in the Miss World 2014 held on December 14, 2014 in London and ended up in the Top 25.
