Mutya ng Pilipinas is known to be the annual National Beauty pageant held in the Philippines. The prestigious Mutya ng Pilipinas organization promotes “Beauty Tourism” within Asia and West Pacific with the participation by various beauties. The winners of the pageant are sent to several International beauty pageants such as Miss Tourism International, Miss Tourism Queen of the Year, Miss Intercontinental and the Miss Asia Pacific International.

The organization plays a vital role in promoting Tourism, Social Responsibility, Fashion and Beauty Pageantry. The Mutya ng Pilipinas National Pageant also serves as a basis to promote everything that is beautiful in the Philippines.

Over these years, selected Overseas Filipino Communities have been strong partners of Mutya ng Pilipinas through long term arrangements, with them sending their representatives to participate in its annual pageant event.

History

The Mutya ng Pilipinas beauty pageant has given:

(Four) Miss Asia Pacific titles: Maria Del Carmen Ines Zaragoza(1982), Gloria Dimayacyac(1983), Lorna Legaspi (1989), and Michelle Aldana(1993).

(Three) Miss Tourism International titles: Maria Esperanza Corazon Manzano in (2000-2001), Rizzini Alexis Gomez (2012-2013), and Angeli Dione Gomez (2013-2014).

(Three) Miss Tourism Queen of the Year International titles: Sherylle Lynne Santarin(1996), Racquel Uy (1999), and Leren Mae Bautista (2015).

(One) Miss Tourism Cosmopolitan International: Barbara Salvador (2010).

(One) Miss Tourism Metropolitan International: Glennifer Perido (2014).

(One) Beauty of the World title: April Love Jordan (2009).              

Past Winners

Maryjane de Joya became the first girl to be crowned Mutya ng Pilipinas when the pageant commenced in 1968.

2017

Ilene Astrid de Vera was crowned as Mutya ng Pilipinas 2017.

2016

Ganiel Akrisha Krishnan was crowned as the Mutya ng Pilipinas in 2016. She competed in Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 and placed as 2nd runner-up.
