Miss World Spain (Miss Mundo España)is an annual national beauty pageant held in Spain to select representatives for the Miss World pageant. Earlier, the Miss Spain organisation used to select delegates for the Miss World pageant. However, in the year 2013, the Miss Spain pageant was separated into several pageants: Miss World Spain and Miss Spain. Due to economic problems in the country in 2011, the Miss España was bankrupt.

Spain’s success at international pageants has been moderate with one Miss Universe title in 1974 and 3 Miss International titles in 1977, 1990 and 2008. They have never won a Miss World title. Also the country has made to the top 5 at the Miss World thrice, with Maria del Carmen Fernández in 1961, Gloria María Valenciano in 1978 and in 1988; Susana de la Llave Varón.

Mireia Lalaguna from Barcelona was crowned Miss World Spain 2015 (Miss Mundo España 2015) at the gala finale held at Malaga where 25 girls representing various Spanish provinces competed for the coveted title. Miss Asturias, Angela González Santamarina, was the first runner-up and Miss Islas Baleares, Natalia Ferrer Fernandez, finished as the second runner-up. Mireia succeeds Lourdes Rodríguez, the Miss World Spain 2014, and will now go on to represent Spain in the Miss World contest to be held in China in December.

Miss World Spain 2014 (or Miss Mundo España 2014) final was held on September 13’ 2014 at Anfiteatro Pepe Falomir Almela, Benicassim. Elena Ibarbia Jimenez, the Miss World Spain 2013, crowned her successor Lourdes Rodriguez as Miss World Spain 2014 at the conclusion of the pageant. However, Lourdes Rodriguez failed to place at the Miss World 2014.
