Miss US International is an annual national pageant held in USA to select representatives for the Miss International pageant. Since the inception of the Miss International pageant, i.e 1960, USA has sent representatives to the pageant, except in the year 2006.
Miss International is one of the big 4 pageants and was created in 1960 in Long Beach, California. The Miss International Beauty Pageant's motto is "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty", showing tenderness, benevolence, friendship, beauty, intelligence, ability to take action, and, most importantly, a great international sensibility. The ultimate goal of the Miss International beauty pageant is to promote world peace, goodwill, and understanding.
2015
Lindsay Becker from Minnesota was crowned as Miss US International 2015 at the finals held on June 25' 2015. Lindsay represented USA at the Miss International 2015 pageant. Lindsay is not the usual high heels shimmery glossy beauty, as the beauty herself tweeted, “Pageant girls aren't all high heels and lipgloss my friends. Miss Maryland and I bonded over football…”. Lindsay believes that the best part about the pageants is the opportunity that it provides to meet new people.
2014
Miss International USA 2014 is Samantha Brooks of California who was crowned on June 27’ 2014 in Florida. Samantha Brooks a 23 year-old graduate from Redlands East Valley High School attended La Sierra University and the University of California. She was crowned the 2014 Miss U.S. International winner June 27, 2014 in Kissimmee, Florida. Samantha competed along with 36 other delegates representing their states or regions for the national title. Samantha competed in the Miss International 2014 pageant, however, was unplaced.
