Miss Universe 2014, the 63rd edition of Miss Universe, was held on 25th January 2015 at the FIU Arena at the Florida, United States. Paulina Vega of Colombia was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Gabriela Isler of Venezuela at the end of the event finale. This was Colombia’s second Miss Universe win.
Nia Sanchez from USA, Diana Harkusha from Ukraine, Yasmin Verheijen from Netherlands and Kaci Fennell from Jamaica were adjudged first, second, third and fourth runners-up respectively. Top 10 also included Valentina Ferrer from Argentina, Tegan Martin from Australia, Mary Jean Lastimosa from Philippines, Desirée Cordero from Spain and Migbelis Castellanos from Venezuela.
Top 15 also included Melissa Gurgel from Brazil, Camille Cerf from France, Noyonita Lodh from India, Elvira Devinamira from Indonesia and Valentina Bonariva from Italy.
This edition saw a new crown manufactured by Diamonds International Corporation, the official jewelry sponsor of the Miss Universe Organization. It was also the last Miss Universe to be aired on NBC and the last edition that Donald Trump was the owner.
