Miss World grand finale is merely four days far! While the Top 5 of Talent Round and Sports Segment have already been announced, the Multimedia segment finishes at midnight tonight! This year Multimedia segment focused on the aptitude of the contestants to engage in a new form of social media, alien to most of them, and with an audience unfamiliar to them too! For the past 18 days, the contestants have been creating a video diary of their time at Miss World whilst raising money for Beauty with a Purpose projects. Miss World organization will release the final Top 10 finalists for the Multimedia Segment tonight.

With only 9 hours left until the donation door put down the lid, let’s take a look at the current leader board on Alipay!

New Zealand still leads the Multimedia leader board with Korea following her quite closely! Already the winner of Talent Round, Guyana is in third place! Taking the subsequent places are Russia, Singapore, China PR, Philippines, South Sudan, Malaysia, Jamaica, Myanmar, Indonesia, Nepal, India, Spain, Botswana, Fiji, Mexico, Peru and France respectively.

However, this leader board is purely based on the third level of the Multimedia segment, and the final top 10 of multimedia round will be based on the Pre event social media work done on Facebook and Twitter, and the self endorsement via a Press release and interaction with national media!

Alipay will continue to host the delegates’ video diary up until the end of the Miss World competition, as such their journey can be still followed on the Alipay app! Tomorrow Miss World Organization will publish the final results of the Alipay donations, including a tally of all money raised for Beauty with a Purpose!

With this newly fangled multimedia challenge, Miss World has instigated an innovative change, which is warmly welcomed by the pageant enthusiasts.
