Aliza Rajan appointed as the New National Director of Miss India Kenya

Aliza Rajan, who was crowned Miss India Kenya 2015, has now been appointed as the New National Director of Miss India Kenya by the IFC, New York.    

Being a beauty queen and a woman, Aliza has always carried a strong determination and zeal to work with people who need help and after being appointed as the new National Director of Miss India Kenya, she got even more motivated to make a difference in the lives of many.

The beauty queen always wanted to represent Kenya at an International platform, and this is a luminous podium. Additionally, “She aspires to inspire” and to be able to encourage women to work towards empowerment. Furthermore, studying psychology allows her to contribute to her community.

Aliza Rajan appointed as the New National Director of Miss India Kenya

 

Apart from studying psychology major in her last year of university, she has her own clothing line and is also a TV presenter for the show Milele Kenya which airs on a local station in Kenya.

On being asked about her journey to Miss India Worldwide 2015, Aliza Rajan exclusively told us -  “After participating in the Miss India Worldwide 2015 pageant, I grew fond of the pageant world! I realized that it's not all about beauty, but rather about being a role model, giving back to the community, and most importantly, being proud of your culture and background.

The beauty queen also talked about her collaboration with her BFF Shazia Alibhai, saying -  “After being asked to be National Director for Kenya by the IFC in New York during my reign as Miss India Kenya 2015, I teamed up with my best friend, Shazia Alibhai, who is a make up artist and stylist. It was a perfect duo! We've started our own events company, Eventique, and Miss India Worldwide Kenya falls under this.

She further explained her responsibilities and advocacies – “Our responsibilities include holding a local pageant to select the girl who will represent Kenya at the Miss India Worldwide 2016 finals in New York/New Jersey in August/September. The national pageant for Kenya will be held in June and we've already started receiving applications. Prior to the national finals in June, we'll have training for the contestants. It's exciting since girls in Kenya have so much potential and I'd love for them to have the same training and experience as girls from across the world when they go to compete at an international level. I'm thrilled to be able to organize the pageant in Kenya with Shazia and I look forward to meeting all the contestants.

After participating in the Miss India Worldwide 2015 pageant, I grew fond of the pageant world! I realized that it's not all about beauty, but rather about being a role model, giving back to the community, and most importantly, being proud of your culture and background, I fell in love with the pageant world ever since I participated, it's incredible.” Added Aliza.

However, the beauty queen is now looking forward on working for bigger projects that can greatly improve the living standards of children, such as fund raising events and more.

She is such a ‘gem’ who is fully dedicated towards her advocacies and moreover, passionate to accomplish her dreams. With innumerable opportunities to dream bigger, to strive for more, and to aspire to inspire, Aliza is truly a queen! Agree?
