The Miss Peru organization has begun casting queens for this year’s edition of the Miss Peru competition. In a recent confirmation, it has been revealed that Almendra Castillo O’Brien will be a part of Miss Peru 2022. The winner of Miss Peru 2022 will succeed Miss Peru 2021 Yely Rivera for the title.

Almendra Castillo O’Brien holds a degree in International Business Administration and is a make-up artist by profession. Aside from performing cosmetic art, O’Brien also takes on modelling assignments and confidently confronts the camera.

The diva is not new to the world of beauty pageants, she was previously crowned Miss World Callao 2021. She later represented her municipality at Miss World Peru 2021 and was adjudged the fourth runner-up. She also participated in Miss World Peru 2015 but remained unplaced. The 27-year-old remains unfazed and consistent in her strive to win the national crown. She is a popular face in the Peruvian pageant world and continues to be a crowd favourite for the title.

Apart from Almendra, the organization has confirmed two other candidates to grace the stage of Miss Peru 2022. Valeria Florez and Daleine Arroyo are also onboard on the journey to Miss Peru 2022.

Last year, Yely Rivera represented Peru at Miss Universe 2021 in Eilat, Israel, where she gave a stellar performance but failed to secure a placement. Will Almendra live upto everyone’s expectation and win the opportunity to get elected as Peru’s official delegate at Miss Universe 2022?
