20 years old Anea Garcia from Dominican Republic has been crowned as the Miss Grand International 2015! She was also one of our Top 10 favourites to win the crown. The stunner succeeds last year’s queen, Daryanne Lees Garcia.
After impressing the panel of judges and the world with her looks, Domicana Republic’s Anea Garcia stole the show and was crowned as the winner. Anea was the second runner-up at the Miss USA 2015 pageant won by Olivia Jordan. Anea was a representative of Rhode Island at the Miss USA 2015 pageant. Anea was hot favourite during the Miss USA 2015 pageant and donned the swimsuit as well as the evening gown round with her confidence and sculpted body. She could have won the pageant, if only her performance during the question and answer round had been better.
The grand coronation night of the Miss Grand International 2015 started off with an introductory session in which all the beauties introduced themselves in front of the juries and the crowd. The Top 20 semi-finalists were announced right after the contestant introduction. The finale was then followed by the Preliminary Competition of Swimsuit and Evening Gown rounds.

The Top 20 then walked the ramp in their respective swimsuit, looking sizzling hot. Keeping in mind the Swimsuit Competition, the panel of juries handpicked the Top 10 finalists-
Ornella Mariam Gunesekere, Parul Shah, Paula Gomes, Rattikorn Kunsom, Ayaka Tanaka, Andrea De Cozar Martin, Mariela Aparicio, Vartika Singh, Anea Garcia, Claire Parker. The 10 finalists then gave their thoughts and ideas about the “Stop the War” concept of MGI. Further, the beautiful ladies exhibited their beautiful evening gowns walking the stage, based on which the top 5 finalists were declared –Vartika Singh, Claire Parker, RattikornKunsom, Anea Garcia and Parul Shah.
The Top 5 then went through the Question and Answer round based on which, the winner and the runners up were selected. Claire Parker from Australia was adjudged as the first runner-up, Vartika Singhfrom India was titled as the second runner-up, Parul Shahfrom Philippines was adjudged as the third runner-up and RattikornKunsomfrom Thailand stood as the fourth runner-up.
In addition to announcing the winner and the runners-up, a series of Special Awards were awarded to the contestants under the following categories –
Best National Costume Award–Miss Philippines ,Parul Shah
Miss Popular Award–Miss Sri Lanka, Ornella Mariam Gunesekere
Miss Social Media - Miss India, Vartika Singh
Best in Swimsuit Award – Miss Costa Rica,Mariela Aparicio
