11 Dec 2018 | Camilla Suarez

Miss Universe 2018 is all set to crown a successor soon and with the delegates from all across the world participating in the coveted competition, there’s no doubt that the finale will be a grand event. But before that, Angelopedia presents you its Top 20 favourites, in a series of features, who we think is capable of taking home the crown this year!

Kimberly Julsing is the beautiful and extremely tall delegate from Aruba who was crowned Miss Universe Aruba 2018 on 7th June 2018. She was crowned by Miss Aruba 2017 (Miss Aruba Universe 2017) Alina Mansur. The finale was held on Alhambra Ballroom, Divi Resorts in Oranjestad, Aruba.

20-year-old Kimberly is not new to the pageant world as she also took part in the Miss Teen Aruba contest in the year 2017, and due to her stellar performance, she was awarded the position of the second runner-up during the finale. Kimberly stands tall at a height 183 cm and her posture oozes confidence, sophistication and poise.

Kimberly is currently studying to receive a degree in nursing and is particularly passionate about helping out elders. She feels that they deserve the help as they have taken care of someone at some point. Kimberly’s favourite quote is, “Confidence is not 'They will like me.' Confidence is 'I'll be fine if they don't.'" This defines her personality in a very apt manner.

Kimberly also believes that there is a necessity for parents and caretakers to be in direct conversation with their children so that the latter feels like their voice is being heard. This heartwarming beauty wants parents to encourage their children to pursue their unique talents which will in turn boost their confidence and help them become better human beings.

Even though Aruba has not won the coveted crown of Miss Universe, the nation has received positive reviews with their participation in major pageants. Miss Universe Aruba 1996 Taryn Mansell became the first runner-up in Miss Universe 1996 and Tamara Scaroni became the first Aruban to receive the Miss Congeniality award in 2000.

With Kimberly’s strong representation in Miss Universe this year, there is a very good chance that Aruba will make a very concrete mark in the finale, if not bring the crown home.
