Miss Supranational 2014, Asha Bhat, promoted the “Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan” (Clean India Mission) on January 26, during Republic day Celebration in Bengaluru. Clean India Mission was started by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. The “Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan” was officially launched on 2 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi took an initiative to clean the roads. Ever since the mission was launched, famous personalities from all walks of life have joined it in support.

Asha Bhat, celebrated Republic Day in Bangalore, as an official ambassador for Brain center. Asha started as a chief guest for flag hoisting ceremony at Cubbon Park, followed by promoting Swachh Bharat Abhyan. After the celebration at Cubbon Park, Bengaluru, Asha Bhat, volunteered and encouraged people to contribute towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, by cleaning the streets.

Asha, who is also a member of the NGO, ‘Go Green Stay Clean’, said “Swatch Bharat can really be achieved only when each of us takes charge of the waste we generate. Let’s join hands to create awareness.” She further adds, “We all dream of cleaner & greener world. So it's time to wake up and take little initiative to contribute our bit towards it.”
The “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan” or the “Clean India Mission” has been expanding its reach and gaining support from celebrities from all walks of life, ever since it was launched.
