Another candidate of this year's Binibining Pilipinas has been purged out of the competition. Janelle Olafson has been disqualified from the 2016 Bb. Pilipinas pageant, supposedly over racy photos she has done in the past.
Previously, Kim Ross Delos Santos was eliminated from the competition, reportedly for the same reason, and has been replaced by Geisha Naganuma as contestant #20.

According Janelle Olafson the “racy photo, ” she took was for a breast cancer awareness campaign.
"That photo is for a breast cancer awareness ad because my family in the States, my aunt, my cousin, and this year alone my tito is a survivor of breast cancer" she told "Bandila. "That is an advocacy and I don't regret posing for that photo... and I'm not gonna change for anybody."
Olafson added: "I just feel like God's path is here... Okay naman (So). Feeling ko kaya ko ito (I can do this)".
The BPCI (Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc) is yet to issue a statement on the issue.
The winners of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 will be crowned under the following titles:
Miss Universe Philippines
Bb. Pilipinas International
Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental
Bb. Pilipinas Supranational and
Bb. Pilipinas Grand International.
The grand coronation night will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on April 17, wherein the reigning Bb Pilipinas, Pia Wurtzbach, will crown her successor at the conclusion of the finale.
