Bb. Pilipinas 2016 candidates visited the Gateway Gallery at The Araneta Center today on March 2’ 2016 in Cubao. This is the first exhibition featuring Sining Saysay or Philippine History in Art and is located at 5F of the Gateway Tower in Philippines.

All the candidates of Bb. Pilipinas 2016 showed off their love for art.They enjoyed the event as they could witness a one-of-a-kind exhibition, the first of its kind in the whole world, created by some of the nation’s finest artists, including National Artists Bencab and the late Abdulmari Imao, whose last piece is part of the exhibition.

Sining Saysay is a grand project, an iconic Philippine treasure led by an all-UP team made up of artists, professors, and historians, and an ambitious undertaking that took 5 years to complete. Evidently, it is worth the wait, as the fine works of art are definitely made for the books.

Located at the Gateway Gallery, also known as the largest private art gallery in the country, visitors are treated with a walk through as they pass through all 29 murals that illustrate the country’s milestones. Starting all the way from the first sign of man, to pre-colonial Philippines and Magellan’s subsequent arrival, all the way to Martial Law and the rise of Manny Pacquiao, and everything else in between, all are depicted in vibrant masterpieces.

Aspirants of Bb. Pilipinas 2016 were overwhelmed to visit the extraordinary place. Every step into the museum made the experience breathtaking, walking through the halls with the inspired paintings. Each art work reflects the style of not just the artist, but also the time period depicted in each frame. This exhibition came to life with the larger-than-life sizes, and the bright and evocative creations.

This year in Binibining Pilipinas 2016 edition, 40 contestants are vying to avail the right to represent Philippines at Miss Universe 2016. The grand finale of Binibining Pilipinas 2016 pageant is scheduled to be held on April 17, 2016 wherein Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, who is also the reigning Miss Universe, will crown her successor as Philippines’s next representative to Miss Universe 2016.
