Amidst the loud applause and cheer, six Filipina beauties were crowned yesterday at the grand coronation night of Binibining Pilipinas 2019 held at the Arneta Center. Forty gorgeous beauties competed to find their place in the Top and the coronation night was definitely a huge success. The gala night this year began on a patriotic note with the Philippine flag waving high and proud to the song 'Raise Your Flag', an original that was first sang during Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray's homecoming.
Richard Gutierrez returned this year as host alongside Anne Curtis, who wowed the audience in her show stopping outfits. Anne also hosted the pageant back in 2014. After the Top 25 contestants were announced, the delegates battled it out in the swimsuit competition and evening gown competition which led to the announcement of Top 15, all through an accomplished panel of jury.
Even though everyone had their own set of favourites, there were two contestants who were a mega favourite for the crown and unfortunately did not make it to the top – Vickie Rushton and Hannah Arnold. Both the ladies made it to the Top 15 and even though they were spectacular with their performances, they failed to win the crown. Vickie’s fumble at the question and answer round where she drifted a little from what was asked could have been the reason for her not making it to the top but she was still applauded for her performance. Vickie also took home most of the special awards this year.
Even Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach had their back as she encouraged both the ladies to try again in the competition next time and coming from a queen who never gave up and tried thrice before she won, it meant everything.
Other than that, the show witnessed scintillating performances, the delegates showed up on the stage performing with confidence and the set up of the finale was a huge success too. The lights, stage set, the wonderful hosts, everything fell into place at the end of the day. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray gave an emotional farewell speech as a Binibini and not only made the audience emotional but also the viewers who love her immensely.

The newly crowned queens definitely have the pressure to perform and more so on Miss Universe Philippines 2019 Gazini Ganados who has to fill in the huge shoes of her predecessor who is the current Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.
Here are the newly crowned queens - Gazini Ganados was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2019, Resham Ramirez Saeed representing Maguindanao was crowned Miss Supranational Philippines 2019, Bea Patricia Magtanong was crowned Miss International Philippines 2019, Miss Intercontinental Philippines 2019 was awarded to Emma Mary Tiglao, Samantha Ashley Lo was crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2019 and Leren Mae Bautista representing Laguna was crowned Miss Globe Philippines 2019.
