Binibining Pilipinas 2020, the 57th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. The pageant will award four titles to Philippine representatives to four major international beauty pageants which are Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2020, Binibining Pilipinas International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2020.
Binibining Pilipinas Organization unveiled the Top 40 delegates who will be competing for the national title. Gabrielle Camille Basiano, Binibini No. 23, secured her rightful spot in the Top 40 of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 along with other Filipina beauties. The beauty hails from the city of Tacloban and is 21 years of age, who stands 175 cm tall. She is in the fourth-year of tourism at the Asian Development Foundation College of Tacloban.
Basiano is not new to the pageantry world as she has participated in Miss Friendship International 2019 and was placed as the first runner-up. She also bagged the tittle of Ambassadress of the World Philippines title last June, which allowed her to represent the Philippines for the Miss Friendship International. In 2016, she won first runner-up at the Binibining Baysay Borongan and when she was 17-years-old, she was crowned Miss Asia Development Foundation College. Gabrielle was also adjudged Mutya ng PRISAA Region 8 2017 and emerged 3rd Runner up in the Mutya ng Prisaa Nationals. She was also crowned Ms. Silka Leyte 2017, Robinsons Tacloban Supermodel 2017 and a Top 15 finisher in the Ms. Earth Philippines 2018.
Gabrielle is one of the top Asian models and beauty queen in Philippines who has dominated various beauty pageants. She showcased the Filipino art and culture in her Sarimanok warrior-inspired national costume created by Razen Montero at Miss Friendship International 2019 competition. She has shot for various photographers and walked on stage for many designers.
Gabrielle is a firm believer that the youth are the asset of our nation and thus, good education and values formation should be given to all. She also mentioned about her advocacy, “My advocacy is beauty and unity in diversity. It is about seeing and appreciating our cultural, physical and other differences. And using it to empower one another,” said Basiano. The diva also hopes to be a businesswoman and flight attendant someday.
The beauty has mentioned that she has always dreamt of representing the Philippines at an international beauty pageant and Binibining Pilipinas 2020 competition is her way. The diva has started working on herself for the pageant now. She is working on her on-stage walk, communication skill and body language for the competition.
With all her experience and knowledge about the beauty pageant world, Gabrielle surely will be one of the strongest delegates who will not only leave her impact on the judges and audience but also has a real chance of winning the title. She is confident, courageous and focused towards winning the title as she has all the qualities which is needed for a diva to be a beauty queen.
