After a lot of discussions and planning, Binibining Pilipinas is all set to host the coronation ceremony for Binibining Pilipinas 2021 on 11th July 2021 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, the Philippines at 9:45 p.m. The coronation night will be hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves.
Catriona took to Binibining Pilipinas’ social media account to announce the exciting news as she mentioned, "Finally, the long wait is over! Join us as we watch 34 lovely and inspiring Binibinis in an evening of grace, glamor, and beauty. Watch them shine in the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 grand coronation night to be hosted by yours truly and Nicole Cordoves. "
The preliminary swimsuit competition will be held next weekend at the Novotel Hotel poolside at the Gateway in Cubao, Quezon City, where the stunning 34 divas will walk the ramp in their stunning swimwear, proving their worth in the competition with confidence and elegance. The prelims will be restricted to the production team and inner circle of Binibining Pilipinas Charities, which has set in place other health protocols and safeguards, including the recent vaccination of candidates against COVID-19. The staging of the highly anticipated national costume showcase is yet to be disclosed.
Adding more to the information, Miss Grand Philippines 2020 and Miss Grand International 2020 first runner-up Samantha Bernardo will open the prelims event highlighting a fiesta butterfly theme, according to Binibining Pilipinas pageant designer Domz Ramos.
Catriona Gray, who is currently with her family in Australia, will fulfill a work commitment in Singapore before returning to Manila for the beauty pageant. Nicole Cordoves earlier shared with ABS-CBN News their solidarity with the candidates who have endured long delays. She stated, "My message to the girls would be: Ito na ang hinintay natin ng kay tagal. We know it was harder on you this year as you worked with the pandemic, but you have a greater platform to show people that there is still so much we can do and look forward to despite our situation. "
Both divas are excited to host the grand coronation night and both have stated that hosting the pageant gives them surreal feels because they have been closely associated with the organization."I also hosted it the first time Cat won, so to host with her this year feels like a full circle Talaga, and it's a testament to the girls competing for this year that dreams are truly made on the Binibining Pilipinas stage," Nicole explained.
