The Binibining Pilipinas organization is all set to host the 58th edition of the national pageant later this year as the search for the divas has officially begun and the applications have been open for aspiring delegates.

As the nation is gearing up to meet the new queens, many pageant veterans have come up to compete for the crown this year, Former Miss Philippines Water 2020 Gianna Llanes was also making headlines for a much anticipated return to pageantry this year with Binibining Pilipinas.

As a disappointment to her fans, the diva has recently announced her withdrawal from the national competition. “…due to prior conflicting commitments, I will not be able to push through with my journey to the crown this year,” she shared.

The diva also added, “I am extremely overwhelmed with all of the positive messages I’ve received after my surprise application to this year’s edition of Binibining Pilipinas. Becoming a binibini was always an unfathomable dream and I am proud of myself for taking the first step in achieving it.”

As she thanked her fans for all the continuous and undying support, Gianna also promised to be back more ready as ever for the nest year’s edition of the pageant. She would have been a promising and strong delegate for the title this year and can definitely be a potential choice to represent the country internationally.

The Opening salvo of the pageant will be a grand Flores de Mayo parade at Araneta City this May followed by other pre-pageant activities and charity events. The coronation ceremony for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 is set in July 2022 with four crowns at stake — Binibining Pilipinas International, Globe, Intercontinental, and Grand International.
