Binibining Pilipinas 2023, the 59th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, was held tonight i.e. 28th May 2023 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines where the representatives to Miss International 2024 and Miss Globe 2023 were crowned. Only two titles were presented this edition as the organization lost the franchise for Binibining Pilipinas Grand International and Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental.
At the end of the event finale, Anna Valencia Lakrini of Bataan was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2023. She succeeds and was crowned by Binibining Pilipinas 2022 Chelsea Fernandez. Anna Valencia Lakrini was a sight to behold at the national competition and impressed everyone with her outstanding performance and strong oratory skills.
Along with her, Angelica Lopez of Palawan was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2023. She succeeds and was crowned by Binibining Pilipinas International 2022 Nicole Borromeo. Katrina Anne Johnson of Davao del Sur was crowned as the first runner-up while Atasha Reign Parani of Cavite was crowned second runner-up. They were crowned by Nicole Budol and Stacey Gabriel respectively.
Top 11 also included Bb. #11 Cabanatuan, Nueva Ecija – Kiaragiel Gregorio, Bb. #14 Albay – Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano, Bb. #15 Aklan – Jessilen Salvador, Bb. #29 Laguna – Trisha Martinez, Bb. #36 Hermosa, Bataan – Mary Chiles Balana, Bb. #38 Dinalupihan, Bataan – Lea Macapagal, Bb. #39 Bulacan – Lorraine Jara (Bingo Plus fan-vote winner).
This year’s panel of judges included Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, Actress Dolly de Leon, Actor Piolo Pascual, Singer Josh Cullen Santos of SB19, Entrepreneur-vlogger Small Laude, Magazine editor Anton San Diego, Wolfgang Steakhouse president and co-founder Peter Zwiener, and Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna.
The event also saw special numbers from celebrity performers Vice Ganda, P-pop group Alamat and Darren Espanto, and a special guest appearance from Miss International 2022 Jasmin Selberg. The show was hosted by Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa and Miss Grand International 2016 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves.
