Binibining Pilipinas 2019 held its charity gala night at The Marriott Hotel on 4th June 2019 which was attended by none other than Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. The reigning Binibining Pilipinas queen Catriona Gray will be crowning her successor on 9th June 2019 at the end of the grand finale. Both the Miss Universe title holders lured everybody on the charity gala with their elegance and walk.
At the red carpet of the charity gala, Catriona admitted being emotional about passing on the crown to the next Filipino who will be representing Philippines in the Miss Universe 2019. She expressed her feelings and said, “I am going to feel a little bit emotional because this is really where it all began. This is where I was given a chance to represent the Philippines”. She further added, "So to be able to pass that amazing honor to the next Filipina representative and to see how it's going to be represented this year is very, very exciting".
When asked what she is looking for in the next winner, Catriona said, “Really someone to make the Philippines proud, to really share with the international audience our culture, everything that we have to offer to the world and, of course, with the best foot forward and show people what the Philippines has to offer.”

Although Catriona hasn’t landed in any one on one conversation with the contestants and only has been keeping up with the online buzz, she thinks based on that all the contestants participating for the title are very beautiful and promising.
