Charity Mwangi crowned Miss World Kenya 2015

 

22 years old Charity Mwangi has been crowned as the Miss World Kenya 2015 in a splendid finale of Miss World Kenya 2015 held in Weston Hotel, Nairobi on October 16’ 2015. Charity will now represent Kenya at the Miss World 2015 pageant to be held on 19’ December in Sanya, China. She battled out nine contestants to clinch the title.

The finale was an intimate, glamorous affair featuring world class performances from Jazzist Hellon and Jamaican reggae artistes Morgan Heritage. Charity is an Agricultural Resource Management student at the Kenyatta University. She wants to pursue a personal campaign called ‘Mtoto Aishi initiative’ which aims to educate mothers, nannies and child caregivers on first aid to prevent infant death in domestic accidents.

The finalists paraded the ramp donning gorgeous evening gowns and all of them looked dazzling as they walked through the stage. The Miss World Kenya 2015 pageant avoided the swimwear round this year, as per the new guidelines set out by the Miss World Organisation. At the same event, Margaret Muchemi was adjudged as the first runner-up and Olive Waithera was titled as the second runner-up.
