Christine Angelica Dacera found brutally murdered in a hotel

Christine Angelica Dacera, former runner-up Miss Silva Davao 2017 and finalist in Mutya ng Davao 2019, has been found dead in at City Garden Hotel in Makati City. Christine was 24 years old and worked as an Air Hostess of Philippine Airlines (PAL).

From this horrifying incident, the hashtag #JusticeForChristineDacera became the #1 Twitter trend in the Philippines to call for the safety of women and to remember her from this incident. The police released incomplete information on the case when they declared Dacera as a victim of rape and homicide, enraging a population fed up with a culture and environment that has long victimized women.

 

 

“The condition of the corpse had a bruise on the leg. Abrasions and bleeding in the legs Including sperm stains and traces of rape! Officers find 11 suspects expected to be involved in the murder! 3 people are Christine's friends, but the rest are strangers The suspect was at a New Year's party with her for the last time before being found dead”, the report said.

Christine hailed from General Santos City, was the second of 4 siblings, and completed a communications degree, cum laude, at the University of the Philippines Mindanao in Davao City. There was a report of a lot of foul play in the investigation as only three have been arrested as of now and nine suspects still remain at large.
