Collete Nwadike from Nigeria Crowned Exquisite Face of the Universe 2015

Collete Nwadike from Nigeria has been crowned Exquisite Face of the Universe 2015 by the outgoing queen, Susan Castano from Dominican Republic, during the finals, held on December 9th, 2015 in Sao Tome & Principe. Miss Germany was adjudged as 1st runner-up, Miss Angola was announced as 2nd runner-up, Miss Aruba was declared as 3rd runner-up and Miss Sao Tome & Principe was titled as 4th runner-up.

Collete Nwadike made history as the first ever black queen to win the crown. The event aims at establishing a unique international beauty and modeling contest, born to showcase the advancements of Eco-Tourism. Nwadike, who had earlier won the award for “Best Evening Gown”, put up an astral performance to outshine other gorgeous contestants from various countries of the world. Collete Nwadike also became Miss Tourism Nigeria in May 2014.

Nwadike, who is an English graduate, is currently a Special Assistant to the Anambra State Governor. She has worked hard to make her mark in the world of beauty and modeling all the while bringing comfort and significance to the lives of the less privileged around the country via her foundation which centers on welfare and empowerment. She is also seeking a career in Nollywood.

After winning the crown, the newly crowned beauty queen gleefully said: “‎It’s like a dream come true. I’ve always dreamed of winning an international pageant and here I am, living my dream. I thank God for making this possible. I thank my ever supportive family.”

The new Universe beauty queen gave special thanks to her groomer/national director, Tomi Lydia Salami, whom she said left no stone unturned for preparing her for this pageant. Speaking on their experience in Sao Tome & Principle, Salami said it has been a phenomenal couple of weeks for Team Nigeria and everyone involved in the Face of the Universe 2015 world finals. Salami also added: “From courtesy visits to media tours; enjoying the fantastic cuisine to exploring the beautiful island of Sao Tome and even a 4-day extension of the delegates’ stay courtesy of the Prime Minister. It certainly has been a blessing and it was worth every minute spent promoting beauty, goodwill, culture and tourism.”

She added that Nwadike will spend her reign promoting charitable causes, tourism and goodwill around the world with special focus on Africa. Heartiest congratulations to Nigeria on this victory!
