The grand slam finale of Miss International Hungary 2016 concluded with the crowning of 19 year old Csillag Szabó as the winner of Miss International Hungary 2016. Linda Szunai, the outgoing queen passed on her crown and her reign to Csillag at a well attended event in Tesla Budapest. Csillag will now represent Hungary at the Miss International 2016 pageant.
From a list of dozens of candidates all over Hungary, only 15 finalists made it to the finale. The pageant started off as a reality TV show, wherein one girl was sent home in every episode based on public votes and elimination by respective mentors, who also acted as judges.
19 year old Csillag is a basketball player and is a student of political science from the National University of Public Service in Budapest. The Miss International Hungary 2016 is the newly born pageant of Hungary. At the same event, Anna Varadi (23) was crowned Miss Grand Hungary 2016, Rudolf (18) was selected as Face of Beauty Hungary 2016. Bettina Kauder and Georgina Kiszely were adjudged first and second runner-up.
