Alicia Machado hopes that her painful Miss Universe Journey will boost support for Clinton

As reported to you earlier about Clinton’s and Trump’s presidential debate that took a turn towards pageantry wherein Miss Universe 1996 Alicia Machado’s incident surfaced, Alicia commented that she was surprised that her story was raises during the debate. Alicia thanked Clinton via her Twitter account for mentioning her in the debate and said, "Thanks Hillary Clinton, your respect for women makes a difference. I'm with you. I'm so proud to be a US citizen. I'll be voting."

On Tuesday, Alicia while talking to the media said that she hopes her experience will lead to more support for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton. "I never thought, and I never imagined that 20 years later, I'll be in this position ... watching this guy again doing stupid things and stupid comments and ... so machista," the Venezuelan-born Machado told reporters on Tuesday in Spanish.

Ever since the beauty queen earned the citizenship of the US, she has been vocal about the fact that she is going to vote for Clinton. She hopes her story will urge others to do the same. Machado had also mentioned that she is not a beauty queen anymore and that she is a worker, a mother and has a family. The former Miss Universe feels that if her story can open eyes for the election that will be her revenge and her achievement.

"He always treated me like trash, and no, his face [in the debate] was like, 'Now this trash is back, again,”, said Machado talking about the debate that took place on Monday night. On Tuesday, Trump defended the alleged comments in an interview with Fox News. "She was the winner, and she gained a massive amount of weight, and it was a real problem," Trump claimed.

After the Presidential debate ended, the Clinton Campaign has now been armed with a new video featuring Machado. In the video Machado tells her story about the insults hurled at her by Trump. "This is a man who doesn't realize the damage he causes," she says. "He bears many grudges and harbors a deep racism, and he is convinced there are lesser human beings than him."
