The presidential debate on Monday night ended with one name all over media, Alicia Machalado, the 1996 Miss Universe crown holder. While she managed to receive heart-whelming response, there is a lot which people do not know about this gorgeous beauty; from love affairs to a daughter, from threatening to kill a judge to being modelled for Playboy, many secrets that Alicia has managed to hide from her fans. It has been alleged that the gorgeous Miss Universe had a daughter with notorious El Indio (Jose Gerardo Alvarez Vazquez), a Mexican drug lord. The two were romantically linked according to a witness. The news about their daughter was confirmed during her baptism ceremony which was attended by El Indio himself as well as by many other drug-traffickers, in 2008.

The witness who testified about this went into protection but was soon killed by a gun shot at Mexico City the next year. Machado has denied the reports and claimed that the child’s father is a reputable businessman.
This is not the only controversy Alicia has ever been in. In 1998, she was reported to have had threatened a judge of ruining his career and killing him. Later, her then boyfriend was alleged on killing the Venezuelan judge’s brother-in-law during his sister’s funeral. Though it was reported seeing Machado drive the getaway car and no one confirmed that she was home sick at the time of shooting, the beauty queen couldn’t be charged on the accounts of in-sufficient evidence.

In an interview with Anderson Cooper from CNN, Alicia said that like everyone else she has a past, too. She added that she is not a saint girl, and it is not the point now.
The 1996 Beauty Queen got into a Twitter Controversy in 2010 after calling North and South Korea – the Chinas. She asked her Twitter fans to join for a prayer for peace that the attacks between the Chinas do not worsen their situation. After receiving a backlash, she tweeted that she has a lot of psychopaths on her account and would start a new one. She promptly deleted her Twitter account, then.
