At the splendid finale night, six years ago, Janicel Lubina was crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2015 aka Miss Philippines International 2015 and represented Philippines at Miss International 2015.
This veteran beauty has recently become an inspiration for many as she joined in as an Asian News anchor in Las Vegas, Nevada. The news broke out few hours ago and the internet is full of praises for the former queen.
Hailing from Narra in Palawan province, Lubina’s struggles in life earned her the local tag; Cinderella of the Philippines. She was discovered by a talent management while she was substituting as a housemaid for her mother. When Lubina’s father suffered a heart stroke, she also worked in the farm to help augment her family’s finances.
Lubina was 19-years-old when she won the Bb. Pilipinas International title in 2015. Along with the title, Janicel was also the winner for Best in Swimsuit and Best in Evening Gown awards. The luminous world of glamour and pageantry was not new to her, and Janicel Lubina was a renowned name for Philippines in the world of beauty pageants.
She did not just participate at various beauty pageants, but also achieved a number of titles. At a tender age of 16, in 2012, Janicel participated at the local pageant Mutya ng Palawan and won the title of Mutya ng Palawan 2012. Later, the beauty also participated in Miss Scuba International, in the year 2012, held in Jakarta, Indonesia, where she represented Philippines and was placed among the Top 5 finalists. 20-year-old Janicel represented her country at the Miss International 2015 pageant. With her immensely admirable height and supermodel features, she reached up to the Top-10 finalists at the competition.

Her recent achievement of becoming a news anchor reminded everyone of her speech at the international stage. She said, “Representing my Country here in Miss International is a great honour. A simple woman who comes from a poor family, my dream is to have a better life for my family motivate me to never give up. At a young age, I have to work at the rice field to help my parents while taking care of my brothers. Life is full of challenges and hardship but I never stop dreaming in working hard to achieve my goals in life. I want to be an inspiration to young people that nothing is impossible. If I become Miss International I would like to share my story to the world that poverty is not a hindrance. It is to achieve and success in life.”
