Jennifer Coosemans from Canada Crowned as Miss Chinese International 2016

Jennifer Coosemans from Vancouver, Canada was crowned as Miss Chinese International 2016 in the 27th edition of Miss Chinese International held on January 23, 2016 in TVB City, Hong Kong. Miss USA, Mary Chen was adjudged as first runner up and Miss Australia, Tiana Luan was titled as second runner-up.

Jennifer Coosemans was the paparazzi and shutterbug’s favorite since the beginning of the pageant. Last night, Jennifer impressed judges with her athleticism as she showcaed a cheerleading stunt in the talent segment. Aspiring to chase a law degree, the 21 years old beauty queen, speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Shanghainese, and French and enjoys hiking, water sports, playing the piano and trombone.

Mary Chen, who hails from the city of New York and was crowned as first runner up at the pageant, is an 18 years old college student who hopes to attain victory in her career. Her interests include baking, painting, photography, and playing the piano. Mary is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Tiana Luan, who was adjudged as second runner up is a 23-year-old student in Sydney.  She aspires to achieve success and influence in society. Fluent in Mandarin and English, Tiana enjoys singing, playing the piano, dancing, painting, swimming, and weight lifting.

Los Angeles’ Alice Wong bagged the Miss Friendship award. The 23 years old at present works as a Data Analyst, but dreams to become an action and comedy star. Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Spanish, Alice enjoys playing basketball, hiking, running, cooking, swimming, cooking, and listening to music.

Hong Kong’s Louisa Mak, who was a heavy favorite of crowd failed to secure a spot in the final top 5. In past three years, Hong Kong has achieved good results in the Miss Chinese International Pageant. Although Louisa had impressed judges with her law degree and academic credentials during the Miss Hong Kong pageant, her performance was not most favorable last night.
