Katia Moochooram crowned Miss Earth Mauritius 2015

The finale of Miss Earth Mauritius 2015 concluded with the crowning of Katia Moochooram as the winner. Katia will now represent Mauritius at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. She defeated 13 other contestants to clinch the title. Standing tall at an astounding height of 5’8”, Katia worked as a fashion model before winning the title of Miss Earth Mauritius 2015.

Katia loves travelling, and it is her dream to explore the lives and cultures of different countries. The finale of Miss Earth Mauritius 2015 was a grand event of celebration and saw some prominent faces of Mauritius. The pageant invited the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Anerood Jugnauth, to the show. He was awarded a Lifetime Award for protecting the environment and working towards environmental benefits of the country. At the same event, Julia Moussa was titled as Miss Air, Leithycia Soulange was titled Miss Water 2015, Nuzah Muradali was titled Miss Fire and Anjali Bye Govind was awarded as Miss Photogenic.

Mauritius has selected their best winner this year and Katia sure is going to be a strong shot at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. However, the year 2015 has been bringing out the best Miss Earth representatives from all the countries, and the pageant isn’t going to be easy. The early favourites for the Miss Earth 2015 title are - Estefania Muñoz from Colombia, Angelia Ong from Philippines, Chavika Watrsang from Thailand, to name a few.
