Laura Garcete was crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2015 at the conclusion of the beauty pageant held on September 21, 2015. She will represent Paraguay at Miss Universe 2015. She succeeds Sally Jara.
The Miss Paraguay beauty pageant, which was found in 1957 by Guillermo Rolon, stopped sending contestants for Miss Universe after 2001. And now the pageant sends delegates to Reinado Internacional del Café held yearly in Colombia, Miss Ambar Mundial, Miss Teen Panamericana or Miss Intercontinental. Since 2004, Nuestra Belleza Paraguay or Miss Universe Paraguay has been sending the queens to Miss Universe.
Laura Garcete was the first runner-up at Miss Universe Paraguay 2014. She struggled at Miss Continentes Unidos 2013 in Ecuador as well.And now the beautiful woman is all set to spread her wings and reach out to the crown of Miss Universe 2015.
