Lisa Marie White has been chosen as the Miss Universe Singapore 2015 during a casting that was held on September 19’ 2015 in Amber Lounge in Singapore. Lisa will now represent Singapore at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant.
The event was graced by a panel of prominent judges - Miss Universe Singapore 2014 Rathi Menon, former Miss Universe Japan National Director and Fashionista Ines Lingron and Miss Universe Singapore 2002 Nuraliza Osman. The National Director of Miss Universe Singapore is Nuraliza. This year the Asian countries have been sending some great contestants to compete at the Miss Universe pageant. Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach from Philippines is one of the favourite for the Miss Universe 2015 crown. Another Asian beauty who is running favourite for the title this year is Aniporn Chalermburanawong from Thailand.
The first Miss Universe Singapore to compete at the Miss Universe was Marjorie Wee in the year 1954. Since 1954, Singapore has managed to place at the Miss Universe just twice. The first placement was in the year 1983 by Kathie Lee Lee Beng and second placement was in the year 1987 by Marion Nicole Teo. All hopes of fans of Singapore now rest on Lisa Marie White.
