After a Facebook account posing as Liza Soberano claimed that she would be representing Philippines at Miss Universe next year, the stunning Filipina actress issued a statement where she cleared that she won’t be participating at Miss Universe.

Issuing a statement, Liza said that Miss Universe crown is not her cup of tea. “As much as I am flattered and grateful for all of your support and comments saying that I should give Miss Universe a try, I really don’t think it is for me,” the actress said through her Instagram Stories yesterday.

She also quashed the claims that she would compete in the Miss Universe pageant next year if the Rabiya did not win the crown. Unfortunately, Mateo made it to the competition’s Top 21 semi-finalists but did not make it to the Top 10 finalists.

The imposter also wrote, “Pag si Rabiya talaga ‘di maiuwi ang crown, ako talaga sasali next year (If Rabiya does not bring home the crown, I’ll really join [the pageant] next year)!”

Liza added that she thinks beauty pageants are not for her as she described herself as an introvert and scared of huge audiences. She also pointed out that she does not have a Facebook account, and urged her fans to report the said impostor’s page. “I do not have a Facebook account. This account has been posing as me and has been making very questionable and detrimental statements,” she said.

Looks like the fans will not be able to watch Liza Soberano walk on the esteemed ramp of Miss Universe carrying the Filipina flag. Nonetheless, Liza has achieved so much as an actress that she is respected and admired by everyone in her country.
