The Miss India organization began a nationwide search for its next queen i.e., Miss India 2022 earlier this year. For which, a total of 31 state winners are to be crowned including a collective representative from Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir under Union Territories.

The national hunt which began in February, is in its next leg of the search as the results of regionals have begun coming out. Finalists for Miss India Bihar 2022, Miss India Jharkhand 2022, Miss India Odisha 2022, Miss India Kerala 2022, Miss India Andhra Pradesh 2022, Miss India Karnataka 2022, Miss India Tamil Nadu 2022 and Miss India Telangana 2022 among others are now confirmed.

The winner of Miss India Union Territory 2022 will represent the collective of union territories at VLCC Femina Miss India 2022, which is to be held sometime this year. The reigning titleholder is Manasa Varanasi. Manasa represented India at Miss World 2021 and secured a placement in the Top 13 of the competition.
