Miss Cayman Islands 2017 Meet the contestants

Miss Cayman Islands 2017 is walking on its road to the finale and is slated to be held in March 2017. At the conclusion of the finale, Miss Cayman Islands 2016 Monyque Brooks will pass on her crown to her successor. The winner will further represent Cayman Islands at the Miss World 2017 and Miss Universe 2017. 
 
This year, 5 gorgeous finalists are vying for the prestigious opportunity to represent the country on international level. Let’s take a look at the five scintillating divas competing for the coveted title of Miss Cayman Islands 2017 –

Mahalia Seymour – 22 year old Mahalia Seymour hailing from George Town district currently works at the Da Vinci Centre where she explores holistic wellness which helps individuals live longer and happier lives. 
 
Taylor Langfitt – 24 year old Taylor Langfitt hailing from West Bay is the Guest Relations Coordinator for Kimpton Seafire Resort, and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing, a specialization in Integrated Marketing Communications, and a minor in Tourism Management.
 
Anika Conolly – 26 year old Anika Conolly hails from West Bay and is a Chamber of Commerce Mentor, Vacation Bible School Coordinator and from 9-5pm she is a Talent Acquisition Specialist at CUC.
 
Kristin Amaya – 24 year old Kristin Amaya also hailing from George Town has 1 more year until she completes a bachelors degree in Business Management. She is also an aspiring entrepreneur.
 
Chante Smith – 20 year old Chante Smith hails from West Bat and is the title holder of Miss Festival Queen. Chante is also pursuing an education in Sports Management.

The Miss Cayman Islands organization believes that the pageant is one of many traditions that helps showcase the national pride of the country and ever since its establishment, has acutely advanced into a powerful organisation. The Miss Cayman pageant provides opportunities to young women to become ambassadors locally and internationally or the Cayman Islands. At the coronation of Miss Cayman Islands 2017, in addition to announcing the winners, a series of Special Awards will also be given under the following categories -
