Miss World 2013 Megan Young is all set to make an iconic mark with her performance as Marimar in the remake of Thalia’s Marimar, a Mexican hit. Marimar was a massive hit from the 90’s and the first Filipino remake was portrayed by actress Marianne Rivera. And now the former Miss World will step into the shoes of the title role.
In an article published on GMANetwork.com, it was confirmed that a second TV adaptation of the popular show Marimar, will be aired by the Kapuso network. The article also revealed that the new version will have a different plot from the 2007 version. Writer Suzette Doctolero on the a Facebook post of GMA drama gave an insight to the new version of the show. So, off late if you have been wondering why Megan Young is a bit more absorbed these days, it is because the beauty queen is filming the remake of Thalia’s Marimar.
It would be interesting to watch Megan play the role and this definitely will be a delight to Megan’s Filipino fans.
