Recently, Sina Schmid, the National Director of Miss Earth Germany announced on twitter that 21 years old Melanie Sofia Bauer will represent Germany at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. Sina is also the owner of Miss Earth Austria organisation. Melanie had previously competed at the Miss Earth Austria pageant, but lost the crown eventually to Sophie Totzauer.

21 years old Melanie Sofia Bauer, hailing from Halle, is currently studying medicine at the Martin Luther University in Halle Wittenberg.  Usually the pageant organises a proper pageant to select a winner who eventually represents the country at the Miss Earth pageant. But this year, the organisation could not conduct the finals and hence decided to handpick Melanie Sofia Bauer as the new Miss Earth Germany 2015.

Melanie has a beautiful face, supported by a strong suave jaw line. But the Miss Earth 2015 pageant is not going to be an easy ride for her, given the list of exceptionally talented contestants competing at the pageant this year. Miss Earth Philippines Angelia Ong is one of the strongest delegates. With a perfect slender body and a great face, Angelia is ready to get a back to back crown for Philippines this time. Next in line is Chavika Watrsang from Thailand, who holds high chances for Thailand at the pageant.

Germany made its debut at the Miss Earth pageant in the year 2002 and Miriam Thiele was the first German delegate to compete at Miss Earth. However, Germany has never won any Miss Earth title till date and Nel-Linda Zublewitz, Miss Earth Germany 2012 is the only German to enter the Semi Finals of Miss Earth.  The Miss Earth 2015 pageant is scheduled to be held on December 5’ 2015 in Vienna, Austria.
