Mikaela Fotiadis, Miss Universe Greece 2015 is now officially the most beautiful woman in Europe, as the beauty queen has been crowned 'Miss Europe World 2016'.
Hosted in Lebanon at the Grand Hill Hotel on Saturday (12 March 2016), the 22-year-old from Crete defeated 36 other contestants from across Europe and the Middle East.
At the same event, Malta was adjudged first runner-up, Moldova was titled second runner-up, Hungary was labeled third runner-up, and Italy was titled fourth runner-up.
Before the crowning, Ms Fotiadis took to Instagram to express her enthusiasm and thanked her fans for their support, accompanied by the image of a Greek flag.
"THANK ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT....!!!! I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart..!" she wrote.
"On stage tonight it would not only be #MissGreece, but it's all of 'YOU' with 'ME' the people of Greece, my fans and my family competing! I will do my best to bring back home this title..!!"
She also confessed that she had not done as well as she had expected at the 2015 Miss Universe pageant, and felt she had disappointed her fans. But all was redeemed this time around.
Fotiadis is half Dutch and is a veteran in international competition. She has already represented Greece at Miss Young International in 2012, Miss Tourism Planet in 2013 and recently on the Next Top Model Contest.
