The magnificent finale of Miss ASEAN Friendship 2017 has concluded and Nuttanan Naree from Thailand has been crowned as the new winner. The finale took place in Vietnam on 1st July.

The event started off with the introduction of the candidates and then went on with different specified rounds. There were 27 candidates who represented 8 ASEAN member states- Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Singapore, the Philippines and the host country Vietnam.

At the same event, Hu?nh Th? Y?n Nhi was titled as 1st Runner-up and Benedicta Heda Mercy Charis was adjudged the 2nd Runner-up.

At last, Nuttanan Naree succeeded in making it to the top and emerged as the winner of the pageant. Miss ASEAN Friendship Pageant is known to be the first beauty contest for Southeast Asia. The first edition was held in 1990 under the name of Puteri ASEAN. The pageant aims to strengthen the relationships and increase cultural exchange among countries of the Southeast Asian region.
