Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 pageant concluded on 23rd November 2016 with the crowning of Netherland beauty Tessa le conge. At the same pageant, Miss Philippines Ganiel Krishnan was adjudged the second runner-up. The Filipina-Indian beauty expressed her desire to meet US President elect Donald Trump.

During the coronation night of Miss Asia Pacific International 2016, the Ganiel was asked who she would like to meet if given a chance. To which, Ganiel answered that if given a chance she would really want to meet Donald Trump!! Yes, that’s right..!! Donald Trump in beauty pageants is like a trend that never goes out of fashion. So, anyway, Ganiel expressed her views and said, "I think he is one of the most powerful person right now and being able to talk to him would give me more influence to the other people because I would be able to tell him what my advocacy is."

At the same pageant, Miss Thailand Chawanya Thanomwong was titled the first runner-up, Miss Cook Islands Felicia George was titled the third runner-up and Miss Korea Soyeon Kim finished as the fourth runner-up.

Last month, Miss Grand Philippines 2016 Nicole Cordoves drew criticism when the beauty queen picked Trump over Hillary Clinnton, when asked who she wants to join in stopping war and violence. Trump surely is ruling the world of pageants, even now, isn’t he? Can’t say how long it’s going to take for Trump to stop trending in pageants.

The Miss Asia Pacific International 2016 beauty pageant was held on 23rd November 2016 at the Sheridan Beach Resort & Spa in the Puerto Princesa city of the province of Palawan in Philippines.
