Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Top 5 Question and Answer Round

The grand coronation of Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 was held on 4th October 2018 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater, Resorts World Manila, Pasay City, Metro Manila. A total of 50 contestants participated in the pageant.

The conclusion saw the crowning of Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Akeel representing the Philippines. She succeeds and was crowned by Miss Asia Pacific International 2017 Francielly Ouriques.

All the contestants received the same question from the judges and that tested their individuality and different takes towards the same issue. The question that was asked to the Top 5 finalists was, “What is the biggest issue of diversity that the world is facing today and how can you play a part to resolve it?”

The answers given by the Top 5 contestants were as follows –

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 Sharifa Areef Mohammad Omar Akeel representing the Philippines

While giving the winning answer, Sharifa says that all of us were born with strengths and weaknesses and with that we have our own imperfections. She wants us to appreciate uniqueness and relevance. Sharifa says that as a millennial, she sees values of compassion and idealism is striving for uniqueness and authenticity in her generation. She calls all of us the beautiful creations of God and says that no matter from where you belong, beauty is indeed diverse and visible to all.

 

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 1st runner-up Gabriela Palma representing Brazil

Gabriela addresses the issue of intolerance. She says that as a spokesperson of her nation, she carries the issue of respect people have for each other. Gabriela then goes on to say that diversity is one of the most beautiful virtues that a person can have thus encouraging acceptance and solving the issue gracefully through her words.

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 2nd runner-up Melania Gonzales representing Costa Rica

Melania says the biggest issue is that of biodiversity and gives a simple solution, and that is smiling as it costs so less and produces a lot. She then goes on to say that smiling does not make anyone poorer and makes the ones receiving it even richer. Melania says that smiling to people who need a smile is a good way to solve any problem.

 

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 3rd runner-up Misheelt Narmandakh representing Mongolia

Misheelt feels that the biggest issue is hunger and that we should share our food. Misheelt feels that one should not waste food. She then advised people to share the love and along with that love and respect each other. Misheelt then ends her answer saying, “Dream it, believe it and live it.”

Miss Asia Pacific International 2018 4th runner-up Mariani Nataly Chacon Angarita representing Venezuela

Mariani addresses the issue of respect we have for each other. She thinks we need to do more to respect each other as we are because we are all children of God and she feels that nothing makes us better or worse than each other. Mariani says that she supports inclusion.
