First timer
Sahara Basnet bagged the title of Miss Nepal Asia Pacific International 2017 in July and became the first girl from her country to represent Nepal at this competition. Before this, there were only three titles in Nepal - Miss Nepal World, Miss Nepal Earth, and Miss Nepal International.
Her education
She is born and raised in Lalitpur, Dhobhighat and completed her graduation in Business Management from Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM). She was quite popular in her college because of her looks and beautiful aura.
Football lover
In her spare time, Sahara likes to watch football and play football and video games. She is also a part of governing body of Football and the Nepal Olympic Committee in the capital city, Kathmandu.
Advocate gender equality
Sahara calls herself a person full of passion powered by the vision of women empowerment and gender equality. She wants to change the mindset of people who believe in spreading fear among others to achieve their goals.
Her project ASHA
This Nepali beauty is the co-founder of project Asha (Hope), a social project that helps penurious people to uplift their living standard. In Nepal, beauty pageants aim to empower Nepali women, facilitate progress in Nepal, and present Nepal positively all over the world.
