India Williams won the title of Miss California USA 2017 during the state finale held on December 4th, 2016 at the Long Beach Terrace Theater, California and she will have the golden opportunity to represent her state California at the Miss USA 2017. California is said to produce the second most number of Miss USA winners after Texas.

India Williams, 20, belongs to Lafayette, Louisiana originally but she lives in Santa Monica and has appeared in the Miss Teen California USA for two consecutive years, 2014 and 2015 where she couldn’t make the winner’s cut. She was also a contestant on the America’s Next Top Model. India wishes to obtain her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Entrepreneurship and in entertainment contract law.

Williams has varied interests and one of them is that she has been learning Mandarin Chinese since five years and is also an active volunteer with ‘The Incubator School’ and ‘The Samburu Project’ to provide good health and living facilities to the people of Kenya.

Excited about winning the coveted crown, India says, “And after months of preparation, Miss California USA is finally here! ? Miss Santa Monica is determined and ready! Honestly just being able to say I’ll be representing such a wonderful and beautiful city is such an honor. I cannot wait for all of the excitement and memories that will be made this weekend. The national pageant contest of Miss USA 2017 will be held in the month of June, and India Williams is all prepped up for her major win.
