Miss Cayman Islands 2016 finalist Samantha Rea, hailing from George Town, has recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham Trent where she majored in Management, Accounting and Finance. Samantha is a member of the Kiwanis Key Leader Program, which gives her the chance to play a vital role in Cayman’s community service.
Samantha was also awarded a PWC scholarship to attend UCCI, where she was honoured with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. This 24 year old beauty has a passion for working towards improving her environment. She is an advocate for sustainable development and green energy alternatives. In addition to beauty pageants and modelling, Samantha also enjoys painting, going to the beach, netball, dancing and being outdoors.
Samntha is a family person and considers herself really fortunate to have been raised by two unbelievably strong and kind-hearted parents who taught her the importance of integrity, humility and a strong work ethic. Possessing these qualities, coupled with her love of country and its people, she views the opportunity to holding the title of Miss Cayman Islands would be an absolute honour. Samantha abides by the saying, “Life does not require that we be the best – only that we try our best.”
